Officers from the department's Second Squad reported the arrest of Eric Dori, 19, of Huntington, on Friday, April 26, the Nassau County Police Department said.

Dori was charged with two counts of assault, leaving the scene of an incident with serious injuries and leaving the scene of an incident with property damage.

The incident began around 2:45 a.m., Saturday, April 20, when police were called to a disturbance at the Mystique Gardens Hookah Lounge, 365 Conklin St., said Det. Lt. Richard LeBrun, Nassau County Police spokesman.

When the officers arrived they observed a male victim that had been slashed in his neck. As they approached the victim, he ran north into a municipal parking lot and collapsed, LeBrun said.

While officers were rendering aid to the victim, a white minivan drove through the lot, striking a parked Nissan, causing the Nissan to spin striking a female pedestrian who was standing next to the vehicle, police said.

The minivan continued driving towards the officers, striking one of the officers as well as the male victim on the ground before fleeing northbound out of the lot.

The male and female victim’s, as well as the officer, were transported to an area hospital.

A subsequent investigation led officers to the discovery of two additional victims at the hospital, LeBrun said.

Officials say Dori may have been involved in the original fight and was trying to get away.

The victim who was stabbed and run over is still listed in serious condition.
